Optimism

"See mistakes as valued lessons on the way to success. Life is like a moving vehicle with no brakes; if you spend too much time in the rearview mirror, you may hit a tree out the front window. Keep your rearview mirror smaller than your front window by using self-criticism as course correction feedback on the road to success. Victims say, "I'll never be able to succeed." Optimists perceive failures as temporary setbacks, rather than final verdicts. Build an expectation of success through hard work."

These are the words which have motivated or rather inspired me not to be pessimistic. Underestimating our own effort and trying to make more attempts to reach our goal is really worth, though not always. There should be a point of self-contentment which only the respective individual can know.
Optimism has been shown to be correlated with better immune systems in healthy people who have been subjected to stress.
So, "Be Optimistic"
